What the Extension Does

Amazon Free Shipping Variant Filter is a Chrome extension that checks which product variants (colors, sizes, etc.) on Amazon qualify for free shipping to Israel. All processing happens locally in your browser — the extension reads Amazon's product page and makes requests to Amazon's own API to check shipping eligibility.

Data We Collect

The extension collects anonymous usage analytics via Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to help us understand how the extension is used and to diagnose errors. Specifically:

• Extension activation — that the extension ran on a product page (no URL or product info is sent)
• Variant processing results — aggregate counts only (e.g., "3 of 5 variants qualify"), not product names or identifiers
• Error events — when something goes wrong, an anonymous error type is logged to help us fix bugs

Anonymous Client ID

The extension generates a random UUID (e.g., a1b2c3d4-e5f6-...) and stores it locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local. This ID is sent with analytics events so we can count unique users. It is:

• Randomly generated — not derived from any personal information
• Stored only on your device
• Not linked to your name, email, Amazon account, or any other identifier

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information
• Browsing history or URLs of pages you visit
• Amazon product names, prices, ASINs, or page content
• Financial or payment information
• Cookies or cross-site tracking data
• Location, IP addresses, or device identifiers

Third-Party Services

Analytics events are sent to Google Analytics 4 via the Measurement Protocol. Google's privacy policy applies to their handling of this data: Google Privacy Policy.

No other third-party services receive data from this extension.

Data Storage & Retention

The random client ID is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. It is automatically removed if you uninstall the extension. Analytics data in Google Analytics is retained according to Google's standard retention policies.

Your Choices

You can uninstall the extension at any time, which removes all locally stored data. Since analytics are anonymous, there is no personal data to request deletion of.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
